Maxim Wakultschik

 

Born in Minsk, Belarus in 1973. The artist began his education in the Belarusian Lyceum of Fine Arts in his hometown of Minsk before moving to study at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. Throughout his career Wakultschik's colourful, kinetic art has received recognition in the form of several awards including the SwitchOn Art Light Award in 2009 and mentionable participation in art fairs including the 58th Venice Biennale.

Since 2017 the artist has been working as a professor at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter, Germany. Wakultschik lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany.
