Born (1955) in Wroclaw, Poland. Immigrated to Israel at the age of two and today lives and works in Even-Yehuda.
At the beggining of her artistic career Birkenfeld has worked with clay and later expanded her engagement with materials such as bronze, aluminum, cement, iron and polymer. Though those materials are alian to fashion, this is the basis for the artistic affinity of Birkenfeld. As a mother who tragically lost her daughter and later on found a cure in the styling and sculpting worlds, her empty clothes' sculptures stands as an independent entity and are a testimony for somewhat no longer exists. Thereby becoming an expression of bauty and strenth of vitality.
